John Deere Co. Commits to Diamond Sponsorship of the 2009 Nebraska Ag Classic
The 2009 Nebraska Ag Classic, set for December 1-3 at the Cornhusker Marriott, Lincoln, is pleased to announce their Diamond Level partnership with John Deere Company for the fourth consecutive year.
"John Deere Company deeply values our relationship with the Nebraska Ag Classic and it's supporting membership,” said Scott Jensen, Division Sales Manager for John Deere Company – Kansas City Branch. “We find the grass roots and regional insights through our participation in this event invaluable to rounding out our knowledge and understanding of Nebraska Agriculture,” Jensen said.
In addition to their Diamond Sponsorship, John Deere Company will also be sponsoring one of the conference breakout speakers on Wednesday, December 2 – Steve Meinzen, company lead for planning for the new EPA Emissions Regulations for Diesel Engines. "As a founding sponsor of the Nebraska Ag Classic, our goal is to give back as much as we receive.. John Deere Company will endeavor to provide ongoing support to this outstanding conference by making available informed speakers and educational resources that can provide real value to those attending the Nebraska Ag Classic."
Meinzen’s topic for the 2009 Ag Classic will be “Emissions 101 and the Opportunity in Farming.” He began his career with John Deere with manufacturing engineering assignments at John Deere Tractor Assembly in Waterloo , IA. He subsequently held Field Service and Sales Management positions in several Midwestern states. Meinzen currently leads the integration planning for the new EPA emissions regulations (iT4) for Diesel Engines into the Deere Dealer Channel.
