2009 Nebraska Ag Classic to Address
Social Networking and Its Impact on Agriculture

The fifth annual Nebraska Ag Classic will be held at the Cornhusker Marriott Hotel in Lincoln, NE December 1-3, 2009.  Michele Payn-Knoper, founder of Cause Matters Corp., will be the highlight of the annual joint awards banquet on Wednesday, December 2.  Presenting her popular “Celebrating Agriculture” keynote, Payn-Knoper will leave you inspired and impassioned about the agriculture industry in general and especially about agriculture in Nebraska.  Among several other things, you will learn the 6.5 reasons you should celebrate agriculture; why YOU are needed to face today’s crisis in the agriculture industry and how to successfully influence consumer, political and media groups.

Payn-Knoper will return on Thursday, December 3 to present “Farming Your Online Community: Social Networks & Beyond.”  Does the buzz about Facebook, LinkedIn, blogging, Ning, Twitter, YouTube, etc really matter to agriculture?  You bet it does!  Attend this session to learn more about how these online social networks can work for agriculture or against it.  More importantly, attend to learn how you can make these online communities work in agriculture’s favor.

Cause Matters Corp. is a company designed to help people understand how to champion their cause.  Payn-Knoper focuses on agricultural advocacy, grassroots marketing, fundraising and sales training.  Her goal is to help audiences understand why their cause matters.  She has earned her Certified Speaking Professional, a designation awarded to less than 10% of professional speakers around the world.  Her lifelong passion for agriculture stems from childhood; she has been breeding and judging dairy cattle as a registered Holstein breeder since the age of 9 and now resides on a central Indiana farm.
