Anderson has been DTN’s chief ag   meteorologist since 1991.  He writes and broadcasts agricultural weather commentary each day to DTN subscribers across the major crop and livestock production areas of the U.S. and  Canada.

Don Borgman - Using Technology to Create Abundant & Sustainable Food, Fuel and Feed Supplies

Borgman is the Director, Agricultural Industry Relations for John Deere’s North American Operations. He currently works with renewable energy and other new business opportunities. Borgman also grows corn and soybeans in West Central Missouri, is a member of NCGA, ASA and the Missouri Farm Bureau. He serves on the Board of Directors of a biodiesel plant and has been involved in the promotion and expansion of renewable fuels since the late 1970s.

Lubben

Brad Lubben - The New ACRE Program:  What Will it mean for you and your farm?

Lubben is the Assistant Professor and Extension Public Policy Specialist in the Department of Ag Economics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  He is involved in teaching, research and   extension activities, focusing on agricultural and public policy issues ranging from federal farm programs and trade policies to conservation programs and the environment.  He has been traveling the state leading discussions on the new Farm Bill, specifically relating to the ACRE Program.

Dr. Weldon Sleight - What’s Happening to Our Rural Communities?

Dr. Sleight is the Dean of the University of Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA).  His passion is rural economic development.  He also partners with several segments of the agricultural industry in the development of programs that will return NCTA students to their communities with viable business plans that will spawn new business and new hope for Nebraska’s small rural communities.

Jim Wiesemeyer - What Does the Future of Agriculture Look Like with the Newly Elected President of the U.S.?

Wiesemeyer, Vice President, Policy and Trade Issues for Informa Ecomics Inc.’s Washington office, has   reported on major farm bills and trade policy in Washington since 1978.  He also serves as a Washington consultant for Pro Farmer newsletter and has a column “Inside Washington Today” on the agweb.com web site.
